I live near Washington, DC in the US. My grandfather, Owen Heaney, was baptized at St. Joseph's in October of 1892 by Canon Wilfred Dallow. I enjoy the website. It looks like a great parish and I hope to visit you all some day.

My family ( Hunter...Patricia, Kathleen (me) Siobhan and Sheila)were parishioners from about 1961 until 1978.
I have fond memories of attending primary school in Upton hall convent building then down to the canteen at overchurch where i was taught by miss Cahill . This was before the present school was built.Mother Mary Joseph took us for First Communion preparation.Fr. McGonagle was the parish priest and nellie was the house keeper. I remember on feast days processing from the church over to the convent grounds and back to church again. We sang in the choir and always looked forward to singing at the Christmas and Easter ceremonies. I left Upton in 1980 but I cherish great memories of a very happy chilhood spent there.
